Yes, this season started off on an awful note, as the Bears started the 2023 season going 0-4 after a great offseason. This was a shock and a disappointment to all fans. It looked like the season was over early on, but the team was able to flip things around.
After finally getting a win in week 5, the team looked different. Still not very good, but a bit better. Even after Justin Fields was sidelined with an injury, the team found a way to win a game or two.
The Bears finally started looking like a real good team in the last few weeks where they were actually fighting for a playoff spot. Though they were unable to make it to the playoffs, we are still happy to see the improvement they made.
Not only did the teams record end on a good note, but so did these players. During this past offsesson, the Bears acquired standout WR DJ Moore in a trade with the Panthers, along with signing some special talent this past offseason. These guys were stars on the fields, with some even looking like free agency steals, especially from LB T. J. Edwards!
The Bears then broke the news during this past season after trading for Commanders star DE Montez Sweat, who has brought so much positivity and success to the Bears since his arrival.
The Bears also finished the season having 2 Pro Bowlers, with newcomer Sweat and 4th year CB Jaylon Johnson. They both were unstoppable all season, and we can't wait to hopefully have them both back next season.
The defense became a top 5 D in the last few weeks of the season, and though there were many issues with the offense, we finally were able to see QB Justin Fields shine on the field and prove why the team should stick with him for next season.
The Bears were able to see what works and what doesn't this past season, and now moving on to the 2024 season, fans have a lot to be excited about!
