With the Chicago Bears poised to retain the No. 1 overall pick and select former USC quarterback Caleb Williams, the likelihood of trading Justin Fields appears high.

Fields, chosen as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, is expected to draw interest in the trade market due to his continued development as a dual-threat quarterback. Among the potential suitors, the Pittsburgh Steelers stand out.

During a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, ESPN's Adam Schefter indicated that the Steelers are in the market for a quarterback. He mentioned Fields alongside Ryan Tannehill and Russell Wilson, noting Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin's admiration for Fields.

Fields represents a significant upgrade over former first-round pick Kenny Pickett in terms of talent. Pickett, the former standout from Pitt, has struggled to meet expectations in his first two years in Pittsburgh, prompting speculation that Fields could elevate the team's offense.

In the event of a trade, the Bears would likely seek a Day 2 draft pick in exchange for Fields. Although Fields hasn't achieved remarkable success as a passer, his proficiency as a rusher makes him an attractive prospect for any team.

During the recent season, Fields achieved a career-best completion rate of 61.4%, amassing 2,562 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 13 games. Additionally, the young dual-threat quarterback amassed 657 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

The coming weeks in Chicago promise intrigue as fans eagerly await news regarding Fields' future destination for the upcoming season.
