For many years, ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport have been the primary NFL insiders to break major news. Schefter has over 10.9 million followers on Twitter, and Rapoport is approaching four million.
During the most recent episode of "The Pat McAfee Show," Schefter and Rapoport were mentioned by the former NFL punter. McAfee emphasized that Rapoport had "been good for" them, but Rodgers did not hold back his feelings regarding their reporting on him. "I have no problem with Ian Rapoport...Schefter...I think they're really good at their jobs. When it comes to me, they don't know (expletive). They really don't. They don't have people in my inner circle who are sources, I can promise you that. And anybody who would talk to them is not in my inner circle. It's that simple." Rodgers and the Packers are coming off a disappointing season in which they finished 8-9 and missed out on the postseason for the first time in four years. The 39-year-old has not yet announced if he will play next season or retire altogether.
