According to NFL rumors, it is highly probable that the Rams will trade Jalen Ramsey within the next few weeks.
Amidst reports of Bobby Wagner's departure from the Los Angeles Rams, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, citing sources, has stated that trade discussions involving cornerback Jalen Ramsey have been ongoing. League sources reportedly believe that a trade involving Ramsey, aged 28, is "very likely" to occur in the weeks ahead.
Ramsey, who was drafted as the No. 5 overall pick in 2016, is currently in the midst of a five-year, $100 million contract and is set to earn $17 million in 2023. He won six Pro Bowls and was named First Team All-Pro three times, playing an instrumental role in the Rams' victory in Super Bowl LVI in 2022. However, with free agency set to open on March 15, the Rams appear to be seeking ways to clear cap space, and Ramsey could be the next high-profile defender to depart, following Wagner's departure.
