The absence of Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews from the team's last six practices has raised concerns among fans and analysts alike. According to Frank Seravalli, Toews will not be participating in Friday's game against the Arizona Coyotes or Saturday's match against the Winnipeg Jets.

At 34 years of age, Toews has not taken to the ice in six days, and there is no word yet on when he will return to the team. Despite a lackluster individual performance this season, registering only 28 points in 48 games, the Blackhawks as a team have not been having a successful campaign and currently sit in 31st place in the league.

The rumors of Toews being traded have been circulating, but it is uncertain whether he will actually be traded this season or if he will play out the rest of his contract with the Blackhawks in the event of further injuries.
