Michael Balko, a sports journalist and podcast host, aired out on Twitter that Green Bay is significantly interested in Claypool. The match would make sense as Aaron Rodgers and his offense have sputtered and have not had the typical firepower that we are used to seeing. The current #1 wide receiver on the depth chart is Allen Lazard and there is no doubt Claypool would immediately step into the starting lineup.
The 6-foot-4, 238-pound Claypool can play outside or in the slot. He is a human mismatch. He basically disappeared from the offense by the end of Trubisky's first run, but in the past two games, Claypool has been targeted 16 times and has 12 catches for 146 yards and a touchdown.
Let me tell you something, if I were GM Ryan Poles, I would at least make a call to see if I could maybe get my hands on Claypool. At 24, he is still young and has so much potential...
