New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman five-star quarterback Arch Manning has committed to Texas. The Top247's No. 1 recruit also strongly considered Alabama and Georgia.
This is such. big news in the world of football. Manning is the nephew of both Eli and Peyton Manning who were both selected with the 1rst overall pick in their draft.
Cooper Manning's eldest son is not only the No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class, per 247Sports Composite Rankings, but he has a perfect 1.000 score, making him one of only seven players in 247 history to earn the perfect score and one of three quarterbacks, joining Vince Young and Quinn Ewers.
Manning has one more season remaining at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Manning will now follow in the footsteps of both Young and Ewers who attended (and still is for Ewers) the University of Texas.
