In the crucial final stretch of games, Justin Fields aims to demonstrate that he can still be the Chicago Bears' franchise quarterback.

Fields has shown significant progress this season since returning from his thumb injury, creating a challenging decision for General Manager Ryan Poles.

Head Coach Matt Eberflus has observed marked improvement in Fields' ball security. Over his last five starts, Fields has thrown just one interception and has been interception-free in the past three games.

Eberflus remarked, "Maintaining ball security, especially in terms of avoiding interceptions, has been impressive recently. A perfect game for a quarterback means zero turnovers, giving us a better chance to win. We need to continue in that direction."

While Fields has made strides in reducing interceptions, he acknowledges the need to protect the football when it's in his possession. In the past three games, Fields has had three fumbles, including two in a primetime matchup against the Vikings in Week 12. His primary objective is clear: safeguard the football.

Fields stated, "I'm focused on making the best decisions possible. We emphasize avoiding turnovers. So, I'm committed to executing my role as the team's quarterback. While it's important to maintain a streak of no interceptions, I also need to address the fumbles."

Preserving ball security holds the utmost importance on offense, as the team recognizes that without it, scoring opportunities are compromised. This emphasis will be particularly crucial in Sunday's game against the formidable Browns defense, led by the game-changing Myles Garrett, which aims to exploit any mistakes Fields may make.
