Assault charge against Raiders WR Davante Adams dropped, but not the case...
In week 5 of the 2022 NFL season, Raiders WR Davante Adams was charged with misdemeanor assault for shoving a cameraman, Ryan Zebley. The incident occured after a loss to the Chiefs, to of which Adams was obviously upset about. On his way to the locker room, Zebley was in his way, so he shoved him to the ground. Adams did apologize after, but the cameraman was hospitalized, and has suffered from whiplash, a headache, and a possible concussion. Zebley then pressed charges against Adams.
According to NBC Sports, the charges have now been dropped, almost 1 year later. Though no criminal time is an option anymore, the NFL may still choose to discipline him. Zebley sued Adams, the Raiders, and the Chiefs, so this issue is still ongoing.
Could Adams miss many games this year? Or, could he even be suspended all season?
