Bears and Jaquan Brisker have agreed to terms on a new deal
Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reported that Safety Jaquan Brisker will not be a no-show at training camp!
THE CHICAGO BEARS ARE FINALIZING A FOUR-YEAR CONTRACT FOR SECOND-ROUND PICK JAQUAN BRISKER, WHICH WILL ALLOW THE SAFETY TO REPORT TO HALAS HALL ON TUESDAY AS THE TEAM CONVENES FOR TRAINING CAMP.
ROOKIES AND QUARTERBACKS BEGAN REPORTING TO CAMP IN LAKE FOREST OVER THE WEEKEND. BUT BRISKER WAS NOT AMONG THE EARLY ARRIVALS AS HE WAITED FOR HIS ROOKIE DEAL TO BE FINISHED. (HE WAS THE LAST OF THE TEAM'S 11 DRAFT PICKS WITHOUT A SIGNED CONTRACT.)
ACCORDING TO A LEAGUE SOURCE, HOWEVER, BRISKER'S CAMP AND THE BEARS FRONT OFFICE REACHED AN AGREEMENT ON A DEAL MONDAY AFTERNOON.»
This will allow the rookie to report to training camp at Halas Hall on Tuesday with the rest of the team. The two sides reportedly came to an agreement on Monday afternoon.
I cannot stress enough how great news this is. For a younger player like Brisker, the first training camp is extremely crucial for his development. I am looking forward to seeing him improving his game and acclimating to the NFL.
