Bears are expected to cut this veteran player

Chicago Tribune writer Brad Briggs has hinted that the Chicago Bears are likely to cut defensive tackle Eddie Goldman. Goldman would bring a $3 million dead cap but free up $8.9 million in salary cap.

Goldman is coming off an atrocious 2021 season where he graded at 39.8 (per Pro Football Focus). Goldman also did not play during the 2020 season so the last time he has played good football was a long time ago. The 6$ million Goldman would free up would help patch some of the holes on the roster.
