Bears center Sam Mustiphier is getting roasted by Bears fans on the internet
While the Chicago Bears' offensive line has struggled to keep Justin Fields safe in the pocket this season, some stats show many of these issues are due to the starting center Sam Mustipher.
Indeed, during the Bears' week 4 loss against the New York Giants, the offensive line allowed a total of 14 QB pressures, and seven of those pressures were attributed to Mustipher alone.
For the moment, it seems like Mustipher will keep being the starting center every week despite his poor play. This is because the Bears frankly don't have many other options as they lost their most reliable lineman in veteran Cody Whitehair. He went down with a knee injury that will sideline him for "some time" according to HC Matt Eberflus.
Mustiphier will have to play better because he has simply been horrible so far. In fact, in week 4, he graded out with a meager 1.5 pass-blocking grade on PFF. This is on a scale of 0 to 100...
