Bears HC Reveals Updates on Justin Fields' Injury and the Possibility of Surgery

During today's press conference with the media, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus spoke about some of the injuries that have been lingering around the team:

As seen in the tweet, Bears QB Justin Fields is still dealing with a thumb injury, and will most likely not play on Sunday. Eberflus says that backup rookie QB Tyson Bagent is expected to start.

Bears reporter Courtney Cronin then reveals that there is a chance that Fields could eventually need surgery to fix the damage, but we will not know until further tests are completed:

Fields will not be practicing today and is doubtful to play on Sunday.
