Carter, 28, has played 60 games in his career so far. He spent time with Houston, Philadelphia, Washington and even Chicago a few years ago.
While he has bounced around the league a lot, he is coming off his best season in 2021. He was one of, if not the best kick returner in all of football last season. He amassed over 900 return yards, including a whopping 101 kick-off return touchdown. He could provide very solid help in that department, with the departure of pro-bowler Jakeem Grant. In fact, on top of finishing third in the league by averaging 25.13 yards per kickoff return, Carter notched career-highs in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns in 2021.
While he did not have that many receiving yards (297), the fact he can actually be deployed on the offensive side of things might push Ryan Poles to offer him a contract as a replacement for Jakeem Grant.
