The Chicago Bears are in for a big offseason, whether it's magical or massively disappointing is yet to be seen. While questions remain regarding the quarterback situation, there's a pretty big question mark regarding the team's top offensive player. Wide receiver Allen Robinson is set to be a unrestricted free agent this offseason and there won't be any shortage of suitors for the elite WR. Many believe he's ready to walk, however he might have that option as the Bears have the franchise tag option in their back pocket and could force him to stay in Chicago. Bears' insider Adam Jahns took a look at the situation and made his prediction. Jahns believes that Robinson will indeed be franchise tagged. "Forget the formula for compensatory draft picks. The Bears need Robinson and that's regardless of who is playing quarterback for them in 2021. The Bears would be foolish to allow their most consistent offensive playmaker to leave in free agency. As general manager Ryan Pace indicated last month, the franchise tag is a tool that the Bears have at their disposal. Robinson won't like it but the tag can be applied and then used in negotiations.Robinson's tag would be higher than the league-wide number because of the collective bargaining agreement. As Brad Spielberger, a salary-cap analyst and contributor at Over the Cap, explained, Robinson's cap hit would be 120 percent of his «Prior Year Salary.» So you're looking at $18 million."What do you think of Jahn's prediction?
