Bears' Kyler Gordon Reveals Why it is Important to get the Win over the Packers in Week 1
During a recent press conference, Bears CB Kyler Gordon was asked about the importance of starting off the season with a win in week 1, by Bears reporter Nicholas Moreano. Gordon answered by saying:
"It's extremely important to go and put that front foot forward and really show what the 2023 Bears are going to be like. No better way than to start with a dub against our own rivals and stuff like that and against the division and stuff like that. So, it's very important and I'm excited. It's like our first time to really get to have the whole defense, the whole offense, the whole team in general, and just go and show what we're going to do this year. And just start off the right way. I'm just excited to get it rolling, honestly"
The Bears will be facing off against their rivals, the Packers, in week 1 of the regular season. Gordon sees this as an important game due to wanting to show the world what the Bears are truly like, as they have several doubters right now, after an awful season last year.
The Bears want to start the season off on a win, and there is no better feeling then getting the win over your rival. If (or when) the Bears get the W against the Packers, the NFL will truly see what the Bears are made of, and will stop doubting them.
Gordon is excited about the matchup in week 1, and can't wait for the season to begin.
