After a disheartening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which pushed their record to 0-2, Chicago Bears' head coach Matt Eberflus remains hopeful and confident in his squad as they gear up to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3.

«We stand firm in our belief and our direction,» Matt Eberflus stated, as reported by Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. «We're unified in our approach. Our focus now shifts to a productive Wednesday practice and gearing up for Kansas City.»

The Bears' offensive woes have been evident in their initial matches. While quarterback Justin Fields faced significant scrutiny following their Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers, his Week 2 performance, although improved, still left much to be desired. Fields threw two interceptions against the Buccaneers, one of which turned into a pick-six, marking his second consecutive game with such an error.

For many fans, hearing about strong practices yet observing lackluster game performances can be exasperating.

With the upcoming challenge of facing the Chiefs on the road, the Bears are in the unenviable position of potentially starting the season 0-3. This is a testing time, especially given the off-season investments to bolster the defense and provide Fields with more offensive support.

Meeting fan expectations has become more pressing, and the Bears will need to exhibit a swift turnaround.
