There's a couple of storylines going on with the Chicago Bears heading towards training camp and one doesn't seem close to answered. What is going on with nose tackle Eddie Goldman. The 27 year old opted out of last season due to concerns with COVID however hasn't been seen since. He didn't show up for OTAs or mini-camp. Rumblings are that the nose tackle is considering retirement according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. "Goldman hasn't spoken publicly, which has made it difficult to forecast his next move. The 3PM deadline for players to opt out wasn't necessarily the thing to watch here. One league source suggested Goldman could be weighing retirement. Perhaps that's the type of speculation that comes when a player hasn't been on the field in 19 months, or maybe it's reason to wonder if Goldman will indeed be rocking and rolling when the Bears reconvene at Halas Hall in less than four weeks."We should have our answer by July 31.
