Bears QB Justin Fields Blames Coaches for his Robotic Performance (Video)
Today's Bears press conference is making many headlines, and QB Justin Fields did not hold back.
After a bad week 2, Fields opened up to his performance, and explains how he felt like he was "robotic." Fields said:
"I felt like I wasn't necessarily playing my game (against the Bucs). Felt like I was robotic. Wasn't playing like myself. My goal this week is to say F it and go out there and play football how I know how to play football"

Fields then elabortates on his "robotic" comment, saying:
"You know, could be coaching I think. At the end of the day, they are doing their job when they are giving me what to look at, but at the end of the day, I can't be thinking about that when the game comes. I prepare myself throughout the week and then when the game comes, it's time to play free at that point. Thinking less and playing more"
Fields finds that the coaching is causing him to play like a robot. He does not feel like himself, and blames the coaches for this. He is being overcoached and does not feel like he can do what he wants to on the field.
It looks like Fields wants HC Matt Eberflus and OC Luke Getsy to back off and let him be him.
