Brad Biggs reported that the Bears are re-signing safety and special teams ace DeAndre Houston-Carson. He has agreed to terms with the team on a one-year, $1.77 million, fully guaranteed.

He will be coming back for his 7th season with the Bears. He started in 3 contests last season. He has over 50 tackles. However, he made his biggest impact on special teams. He has been, during his time in Chicago, one of the best special teams players in all of football. His 2021 season was cut short due to a fractured forearm. He should be able to recover very nicely from that. Houston-Carson is recognized as one of the best leaders on the team. A crucial asset in the locker room for the Bears.

Very solid move by Ryan Poles.
