The Chicago Bears waived receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette on Tuesday.

Smith-Marsette got his first significant playing time in the offense in Chicago's 29-22 loss at Minnesota two weeks ago and committed two costly mistakes. The Bears signed Smith-Marsette just before the start of the season after Minnesota cut him.

Indeed, after losing DE Benton Whitley to the Minnesota Vikings earlier this week, the Chiefs have added one of their former receivers to the practice squad. Kansas City signed Ihmir Smith-Marsette, who was waived by the Chicago Bears just a few days ago, to the practice squad as first reported by Chiefs Digest's Matt Derrick.
