Out of all the 32 NFL teams, the Chicago Bears have had the most active offseason. They've made significant moves in free agency by signing two outstanding linebackers, Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards, to strengthen the defense's core. Additionally, the team has addressed several critical weaknesses on the offensive line, notably by securing the services of RG Nate Davis for three years.

With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, the Bears are aware that they have many areas to address. However, according to Pro Football Focus' pre-draft power rankings, Chicago is slowly climbing the list. PFF currently ranks the Bears at No. 26, but with 10 draft picks and $38 million in cap space, the team still has a significant opportunity to enhance their performance.
Their defense struggled in 2022, so adding two solid linebackers in Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards may help fix that. Further, defensive tackles Andrew Billings and DeMarcus Walker are huge upgrades to their defensive line.

Although Pro Football Focus didn't acknowledge the Chicago Bears' blockbuster trade for star wide receiver D.J. Moore from the Carolina Panthers, the team also signed tight end Robert Tonyan to provide quarterback Justin Fields with another red zone target.
The rebuilding process is far from over, but it's evident that GM Ryan Poles has successfully guided the Bears towards becoming the most improved team of the offseason. Although they may not go from the bottom of the rankings to the top overnight, head coach Matt Eberflus can be optimistic about the current foundation of the team.
