As stated in the tweet, Bagent said:
It looks Bagnet is feeling confident with his role, and is eager to show his team that he can get the job done. He knows he is not competing for the number 1 spot, but he accepts his role as a backup, and instead of being QB3, he wants to be the QB2.
Bagent played college ball with the Division II school; the Shepherd Rams. During his time there, he was named as the starting QB in his freshman year, and was selected as to the first team All-Mountain East Conference. Then in 2021, he was named as the PSAC East Offensive Player of the Year and won the Harlon Hill Trophy. Then, in his senior year, Bagent broke the record for touchdown passes across all NCAA divisions with 159 TDs.
In the 2023 draft, Bagent went undrafted, even after a stellar college career. He then signed with the Chicago Bears and has since been competing for the number 2 spot.
After an amazing preseason game, where he went 9/10 on passing, and even scored his first rushing TD, fans were raving about him, and now, he may be the Bears new QB2.
