Biggest takeaways from Ryan Poles interview
Ryan Poles met with the media this morning. The interview lasted for around 20 minutes. It was great to see and hear from him prior to the NFL combine. Here are some of the most notable aspects he talked about during the session:
He started by saying he and the front office were behind for about two weeks. However, he now believes they're caught up and have their draft board pinned down. That is good news but a little alarming to hear him admit that they were behind on the optimal schedule. Yet, it is to be expected with a whole new regime as the Bears have at the moment.
After that, he said that he met with WR Darnell Mooney and that he has a "quiet confidence about him and is hungry to be special." While this is nothing new for us Bears fans, it is nice to hear him admit how great of a player he can become.
Finally, the biggest subject was the offensive line. Here is what he had to say: «We've gotta get lighter. We've gotta get quicker.»
