The Chicago Bears and chairman George McCaskey announced on Thursday their blueprint for the centennial celebration. The team will wear a commemorative patch and rock a classic uniform for the celebration. Chicago's 100th anniversary actually coincedes with the NFL's centennial, and while the rest of the league will wear a special NFL 100 patch, the Bears will only wear their patch. «We're excited about the way our 99th season is going so far, incomplete as it is, but we're also excited about our 100th season in 2019,» McCaskey said. Here's some of the other highlights McCaskey announced on Thursday:- Bears100 Celebration Weekend > Being held June 7-9 at Rosemont Convention Center, the entire 2019 team and coaching staff along with Bears' Hall of Famers and alumni will be there. Tickets go on sale November 16th. - The Bears will donate $100k to charity per home game including the two preseason games which will come out to $1million in donations. The team will have fans help pick some of the charities, details on that will be announced later. - Each home game will pay tribute to a different decade in team history. - Hall of Fame sportswriters Don Pierson and Dan Pompei will put together "The Chicago Bears Centennial Scraphbook" set for release in spring 2019.
