"Well there's some good news for tonight's Chicago Bears' game. Head coach Matt Nagy will welcome back one of his assistant coaches after they were all placed in COVID protocols during the week. Defensive coordinator Sean Desai has cleared protocols and will be with the team tonight. Unfortunately OC Bill Lazor and special teams coach Chris Tabor don't look like they'll clear in time. When it comes to Desai though, he'll have his hands full as he's got some pieces that likely won't clear for tonight. CB Jaylon Johnson, FS Eddie Jackson, SS Tashaun Gipson, CB Artie Burns and CB Duke Shelley remain in protocol.
#Bears coach Matt Nagy just said on WBBM-AM 780 that defensive coordinator Sean Desai will be in place to call tonight's game against the #Vikings at Soldier Field. He's cleared COVID-19 protocols. — Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) December 20, 2021
