It was revealed by his family that he passed away after a battle with cancer.
Hasselbach originally began his professional career playing in the CFL, where he was a member of the Calgary Stampeders from 1990-1993. During those few seasons, he became a CFL All-Star and won the Grey Cup championship.
After those successful seasons in the CFL, Hasslebach signed in the NFL, and was a member of the Broncos from 1993-2000. He finished his NFL career playing in a total of 112 games, making 154 tackles, 17.5 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles. He also won the Super Bowl twice with the team.
Rest in Peace.
