"After getting the sad update regarding former Chicago Bears' linebacker Geno Hayes, his time has now come to an end. After being transferred to hospice in the recent weeks, Hayes has passed away at the age of 33. The former NFLer passed away after being diagnosed with chronic liver disease back in 2019 which was brought on by a combination of nonprescription pain medications and a family history of liver disease. Former Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell released a statement. "Thoughts and prayer for the family and friends of Geno Hayes.""He lived his life as a tremendous Seminole who impacted so many throughout his journey on and off the field. His legacy will live on. #RIP #NoleFamily."He spent one season with the Bears back in 2012 and played 15 games registering 16 total tackles. His health has reportedly deteriorated in recent weeks.
