As revealed by The Athletic's Dianna Russini, the Bears have had several discussions within their organization in regards to hiring Michigan's head coach Jim Harbaugh:

As heard, she explains that the Bears have discussed the possibility of hiring Harbaugh if they decide to move on from Matt Eberflus after this season. The staff and QB situation plays a factor, but the Bears are certainly interested in the idea.

Rumours indicate that Harbaugh will be leaving the NCAA after this year, due to controversy and issues he has faced from the Big Ten this season.

The Bears are also likely to move on from Eberflus and most of the staff - either this season or after, as this Bears team is in desperate need for change.

If Harbaugh decides to leave, then several teams will likely send him offers immediately, so if the Bears truly are interested, they better make some moves as soon as possible.
