In a recent development, an NFL player from the Cleveland Browns has been suspended for six games.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Michael Woods has received a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Notably, this suspension doesn't have a significant impact, as Woods is currently on the non-football injury list and was unlikely to play due to his Achilles tendon injury, which occurred during offseason workouts with Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the suspension is related to an "incident" that occurred last summer, leading to a breach of the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Before his injury, the Browns had envisioned a more prominent role for Woods in the 2023 season. Woods, a sixth-round pick from the University of Oklahoma in 2022, made his NFL debut in Week 6 of the 2022 season against the New England Patriots after being inactive for the initial five games. During his 2022 season, the 23-year-old appeared in 10 games, accumulating 155 offensive and 85 special-teams snaps, and recorded five catches for 45 yards on 10 targets.
