At 28, Allen has an impressive track and field resume, specializing in hurdles. He represented the United States at both the 2016 Rio and 2021 Tokyo Olympics, as well as in three World Championships. Allen secured a fourth-place finish in hurdles at both the Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Before dedicating himself to track, Allen was a four-star wide receiver recruit and played three seasons for the University of Oregon's football team. His recent performance at an Oregon pro day caught the attention of NFL scouts, particularly when he clocked an unofficial 4.35 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Allen's speed is expected to be an asset for the Eagles as they prepare for another deep playoff run. His athleticism will serve as excellent training for the team's secondary, helping them improve their defensive coverage against fast downfield threats.
