The Plano Police Department told Fox News Digital Williams was driving near Texas State Highway 121 and Preston Road when his vehicle struck another vehicle while attempting a left turn.
Williams and the other vehicle's driver were transported to a hospital for treatment.
There have been no charges filed and there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor, according to police.
Police and firefighters worked to clear debris from the street, which was blocked for a time.
Williams is having an outstanding rookie year in limited playing time, showing a lot of potential as a future pass rusher for the Cowboys. No word yet if this will in any way affect his ability to play on Christmas Eve versus the Philadelphia Eagles.
The most important thing is it looks like he escaped anything significant. Williams, a rookie, has 20 tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble in 13 games this season.
