Adam Schefter reported that the Bears are giving former Bills' LB Tremaine Edmunds a 4-yr, $72M that includes $50M guaranteed. It is the largest 4-year contract for an inside linebacker in the NFL.

Edmunds was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, as the 16th overall pick. He immediately became a starter for the Bills and has been an essential part of their defense ever since.

At 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 250 pounds, Edmunds is a physically imposing player with excellent size and speed for his position. He has been praised for his athleticism, versatility, and ability to read and react to opposing offenses.

In his rookie year, Edmunds recorded 121 tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions, earning him a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team. He followed up with an impressive 2019 season, where he recorded 115 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and nine passes defensed. In 2020, he had a bit of a down year statistically but was still a valuable player for the Bills' defense.

Overall, Tremaine Edmunds is considered one of the top linebackers in the NFL and has a bright future ahead of him in the league.
