Calvin Ridley drops cryptic tweet amid trade rumors
**This was written prior to the news of his suspension for gambling on NFL games.
Calvin Ridley has been involved in so many rumors lately. He has reportedly asked to be traded and, like every receivers available, he was linked to the Bears. He used his social media platforms to post some pretty weird Tweets last week.
First of all, to put everyone into the context, here is the message he Tweeted during the season prior to missing the rest of the season due to personal issues.
But, this week he posted this:
Even though there is not a lot of context to it, I'm pretty certain this could be seen as good news. It can mean that his head is still in it and that he still wants to play in the NFL. This is the only concern with him because he is an amazing player and he has shown that, when physically and mentally healthy, he is a top 10 receiver in all of football. If he is, in fact really motivated to play football, he could provide some value to his new team.
On this subject, Falcons owner Arthur Blank had this to say:
"We love the young man. He has had a great history in Atlanta. We'd love him to stay here. Whether or not he wants to do that, he may decide that he wants a fresh start somewhere else. We don't know that."
That doesn't look good for his future with the Falcons...
