Chicago Bears have Signed Another Tight End
As reported by Daniel Greenberg, the Bears have signed tight end Lachlan Pitts:
Pitts went undrafted in the 2023 NFL draft, and after trying out for the team, the Bears decided to sign him.
Pitts spent his college days playing for The College of William & Mary, and had his breakout season in 2022. In 2022, Pitts made 28 receptions for 543 yards, along with 5 touchdowns to end the season. Even with a solid season like that, Pitts still went undrafted.
The Bears just signed a new tight end, the veteran Marcedes Lewis, but it looks like they want to expand on this position.
Pitts is 6 foot 6, something every team wants when looking for a tight end. He is a big guy who can both catch and block, and could become a crucial member when it comes to the blocking game.
