Chicago Bears Quarterback Justin Fields Returns Stronger and Healthier Following Offseason Break
The Chicago Bears and their manager Ryan Poles have had a very busy time this offseason, even before the NFL Draft has happened. The team has been working hard to become a contender next season, and the success of their star quarterback Justin Fields will be a big part of that.
Despite lots of talk about Fields' future, Poles still believes in him and traded the top draft pick to the Panthers instead of choosing another quarterback in the draft. This showed a lot of faith in his guy.
Fields had an amazing 2022 season, with improvements in his passing and running skills. He even broke the Bears' record for rushing yards by a quarterback, and almost broke a record set by Lamar Jackson in 2019.

According to Albert Breer, the Bears are happy with Fields' growth in the offense, and value him for more than just his skills on the field.
"Justin Fields spent his three-month offseason resting and rehabbing with teammates, and returned to Halas Hall on Monday for the start of the Bears' offseason program," said Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
"After carrying the ball 160 times last season, Fields needed to take care of his body. However, he's now back in much better shape than he was at the end of last season. There's a strong belief that Fields will improve as a passer this year, which will reduce the amount of running he needs to do. With a year of reworking his throwing motion and the addition of DJ Moore, Fields is expected to take a leap as a passer."
