According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Seattle has expressed interest in Laken Tomlinson and is contemplating bringing Cody Whitehair in for a free-agent visit.
Tomlinson, aged 32, has been a consistent presence on the field, having played every offensive snap for the Jets over the last two seasons. A former first-round pick, Tomlinson showcased his prowess by earning a Pro Bowl nod with San Francisco in 2021. With 146 games and 138 starts under his belt since entering the league in 2015 as the No. 28 overall pick, Tomlinson brings experience and skill to any lineup. He became a free agent after his release by New York in February.
Meanwhile, Whitehair, 31, spent the entirety of his first eight seasons with the Bears before parting ways with the team earlier this year. Having earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2018, Whitehair remained a valuable asset for Chicago in 2023, appearing in all 17 games with 11 starts and contributing to 69 percent of the Bears' offensive snaps. His versatility and reliability make him an appealing prospect for teams seeking stability in their offensive line.
