Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 238 pounds, Claypool possesses the physicality to excel as an 'X' receiver for the Bears. His size allows him to avoid getting jammed up at the line of scrimmage and outmatch defenders on contested catches. Additionally, Claypool's top-end speed, demonstrated by his impressive 4.42-second 40-yard dash at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, sets him apart. In fact, he became only the second receiver, after Calvin Johnson, to measure at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds while running a sub-4.5 40-yard dash.
Claypool has already showcased his potential, averaging over 14 yards per reception in each of his first two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. As a rookie in 2020, he recorded a career-high nine touchdowns.
