Dan Orlovsky continues to hate on the Bears

Dan Orlovsky announced his retirement from football on October 11, 2017. He then joined ESPN as an analyst shortly afterwards. Then on May 18, 2022, Orlovsky joined the #2 ESPN NFL booth with Steve Levy and Louis Riddick Jr., replacing Brian Griese.

While Orloskvy is very well-spoken and he knows football, he has had a tendency of being very intense in his takes, especially when it comes to the Chicago Bears.

He has said a few times already this off-season that he believes the Bears will be horrible this year and that they have not shot at being any good.

Well, he did it again...

Orlovsky thinks that QB Justin Fields doesn't have a chance heading into the 2022 season.

Indeed, he listed three of the top 10 NFL teams that spent the most amount of money on their supporting casts before getting to the Chicago Bears.

The Bears only spent $52 million on their supporting cast heading into this season, which was second-fewest among all NFL teams. Because of that, Orlovsky thinks Justin Fields has "no shot" heading into this season.

"Fields has no shot at all. Get him to 2023 and then make your assessment," Orlovsky tweeted.

I get what he is saying but I completely disagree when he says that we should forget about 2022 and that we should only judge Fields based on 2023. Of course, we can't expect Justin to win the MVP this year and lead the Bears to an NFC North championship, but I fully expect to see a huge step up in Fields' game and I believe that we should see him thrive in a better system where the play call is more suited for his modern-style game.

Let's prove Orlosvski wrong, shall we?
