DeSean Jackson was drafted back in 2008, and spent a large portion of his career in Philadelphia. During his first 6 seasons with the Eagles, Jackson was an Second-Team All-Pro and a 3-time Pro Bowler. He was a fan favourite and became one of the most exciting players in the game. Though most of his years in Philly were enjoyable, Jackson has recalled a time when things were not looking too good.
During a recent interview on a podcast, Jackson spoke about former head coach Chip Kelly...and he did not hold back. Jackson said:
Kelly became the head coach of the Eagles in 2013, which was Jackson's last season before heading to Washington. Jackson recallas Kelly as the reason for the team's downfall, as Kelly traded away important keys to the team and made some roster moves that Jackson did not agree with:
Though 2013 was actually Jackson's best year statistically, he still remembers feeling angry with his coach. With stats like: 82 receptions, 1,332 receiving yards, and 9 touchdowns, they were still not good enough for Jackson to support his coach's decisions.
