Hall of fame Bears' legend Dick Butkus had an interview with Jarrett Payton, son of Walter Payton. Butkus was asked to talk about the 2021 Bears' team.

Let's just say Dick was not very thrilled with the result he witnessed last season. Here is a quote from his interview: "I got pretty hot a couple of times. One time in the Green Bay game, too. I felt like texting McCaskey and telling him this is not good.' They not only were not good, but the effort to me I don't know if anybody's saying they put out the effort I don't think they did. I think a lot of those linemen should be arrested for impersonating an offensive lineman."

These are some strong words from the former Bear. Butkus has a point, the offensive line was probably the worst unit of the team. And there were quite a lot of bad ones.

Butkus has been very involved with the team ever since he retired. He was introduced into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979. The former linebacker said later in the interview that he thought Bears' fans have reasons to be excited for the future of the team, especially of Justin Fields. It was a very nice interview with two people that know a lot about winning Bears' teams.

Here is a little Dick Butkus tribute:
