"Chicago Bears' from the past and present crossed paths this weekend in Chicago for the Bears 100th Celebration. While Brian Urlacher might have backed out of the celebrations, current Bears' linebacker was still able to chat with some Bears linebacker legends. Among the most interesting conversations Smith had, the 22 year old pointed to convos with Dick Butkus and Otis Wilson as ones that had the most interesting advice. Smith told reporters that «I probably wouldn't have a game check and then (would have to) give them some of my signing bonus,» because their advice would likely lead him to losing money. What advice?«Pretty much Butkus was like, Just be violent. By all means be violent, that was his main thing,» Smith said. Smith won the Butkus Award during his final year at Georgia, an award given to the nation's best linebacker.
