Let,s face it, this year's Bears team will likely be the least talented team on the field for the majority of the game this season. However, this does not mean that they won't be able to win games and potentially even make a push for a playoff spot.

Indeed, one of the best ways to make up for a lack of top-tier talent is to be to the more disciplined team every single Sunday. Well, this was clearly the case versus the talented 49ers team.

After averaging 4.3 penalties in three preseason games, the Bears were even more disciplined Sunday, receiving only three flags for a total of 24 yards.

"We've been doing that," Eberflus said. "We had the officials in for training camp, NFL officials. We use those guys to educate us, and they do a great job when they come in. And then we had Big Ten officials here as well in the off weeks.

"I think any time you can have an education of the rules so we can play smart and clean, like we have done, that's always beneficial. And I think that's probably our cleanest game, even through the preseason. That's a tribute to the players who have been paying attention to it, and also the help of the officials."

I hope this trend continues because it would provide an excellent chance at success week in and week out throughout the season.
