Currently, George is making his mark as the head coach at Tennessee State, where he has racked up a 9-13 record in his initial two-year tenure.
Joining George in this exciting fellowship will be Randy Shannon, who is known for his stint as the University of Miami's head coach and presently serves as the co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Florida State.
The Bears' head coach, Matt Eberflus, expressed his enthusiasm about the new additions to the staff during the team's Organized Team Activities (OTAs). "We're thrilled to bring aboard such talented coaches as Eddie and Randy during our OTAs, providing a unique opportunity for these college coaches to expand their horizons during their offseason," Eberflus said. "We have every confidence that their contributions will be significant during their time with us, and we're equally excited to learn from them."
As summer training camp approaches, the Bears are expected to introduce additional coaching fellows who will be part of the team's exciting journey.
George, who's prepping for his third season at TSU, and Shannon, the former Miami linebacker with two NFL seasons and an impressive 31-year coaching career under his belt, are already involved in the Bears' program. Eberflus reiterated his excitement, welcoming these seasoned pros to the Bears family.
