ESPN's Dan Orlovsky proposes an unconventional idea for the Chicago Bears and their first overall draft pick (VIDEO).

While many experts and fans anticipate the Bears trading Justin Fields and selecting Caleb Williams with the top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, Orlovsky proposes a drastic alternative.

During an appearance on ESPN's "Get Up" show, the former NFL quarterback advocates for the Bears to forego selecting Williams and instead opt for LSU star quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Orlovsky highlights Daniels' strengths, emphasizing his superior ball placement, effectiveness against man coverage, and ability to generate explosive downfield plays. He asserts that Daniels possesses the best poise and composure within the pocket, a crucial attribute in today's NFL where athleticism is a given among quarterbacks.

At present, Williams, Daniels, and UNC's Drake Maye emerge as the top three quarterbacks in this year's draft class.

Daniels showcased his potential in 2023, amassing impressive statistics including 3,812 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and just four interceptions, alongside 1,134 rushing yards and 10 rushing scores, earning him the Heisman Memorial Trophy.

Meanwhile, Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy recipient, delivered a strong performance last season for USC, completing 68.6% of his passes for 3,633 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, Williams expresses enthusiasm about the prospect of joining the Bears, emphasizing the team's talent and potential for success.
