Ranking NFL rosters for the 2023 season: Strengths, weaknesses
Obviously, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked number 1. They are coming off a Super Bowl win, and their roster is still as strong as ever. QB Patrick Mahomes is coming off of a MVP season as well, and his stats were some of the best of his career. Last season, Mahomes threw for 5,250 yards and 41 touchdowns. Even with the departure of WR Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs and Mahomes have not slowed down.
Now, when looking for the Bears' ranking, we had to scroll down a bit. ESPN ranked the Chicago Bears at number 22. This does not come as a shock, and is actually better than expected, as the Bears were the worst team in the NFL last season. But, this ranking is about rosters, and ESPN can tell that this new roster is ready for change. With new additions like DJ Moore and Tremaine Edmunds, fans and analysts have high hopes for the new season, and believe that this new roster can help make the Bears a contender.
