The Bears are looking to bounce back in week 3 and establish their identity as they head back to Soldier Field. The visiting Houston Texans are looking to add their first win for the 2022 season and are led by former Bears Head Coach Lovie Smith.

Brandon Cooks:

Cooks is one of the best deep threats this league has seen over the best decade. Cooks has played for the Saints, Patriots, Rams, and Texans, and has recorded a 1,000-yard season with every franchise he's played with. Despite never receiving a Pro Bowl nod Cooks certainly is a matchup mismatch for me the opposition. Since entering the league in 2014 Cooks' has hit the 1000-yard mark in 6 seasons. He has over 8,000 career receiving yards and 46 touchdowns. Very few receivers can sustain the consistency that Cooks has since entering the league.

Kyler Gordon:

The rookie second-round product certainly had a night to forget in Week 2 a gain is Rodgers and the Packers. Despite making an athletic play breaking up a touchdown in the first half, Gordon was picked apart. With Jaylon Johnson virtually being untargeted this season it would be no surprise if the Texans came up and forced Gordon to handle their best weapon. Gordon certainly has the athleticism and the part to play the position at a high level in this league. Now the biggest question will be how he bounces back after facing adversity, a short memory is necessary to thrive in this league to not let the back games stack up. This matchup should be worth watching as the Bears evaluate what they have in the former University of Washington product.
