Trent Williams- Williams was originally drafted by the Washington Redskins as the fourth overall selection in the 2010 draft and certainly has lived up to his potential. Since his third season as a pro Williams has received 9 consecutive Pro Bowl nominations. Williams joined the 49ers in 2020 after missing the 2019 season over contract disputes and internal issues with Washington's medical personnel. Since being a 49er over the past two seasons Williams has proven he is among the league's best Left Tackles and a true anchor on second-year Quarterback, Trey Lance'a blind side.
Robert Quinn- Similar to Williams, Robert Quinn found a new home to start the 2020 season as one of the Bear's biggest acquisitions in free agency. Despite a slow start for the Bears in 2020 recording only 2 sacks Quinn was determined to bounce back to his former Pro Bowl shaper that we've seen over the previous decade. Quinn was a force in 2021, recording 18.5 sacks and breaking current Hall of Famer Richard Dent's all-time single-season sack record in Chicago. Over his 11-year career, Quinn has 101 career sacks, with arguably his best season ever coming in 2021 showing no signs of slowing down. Sunday's matchup should be a true testament of iron on iron as Quinn and Williams face off to start the regular season.
