Another big move that we expect to see in the upcoming days is the trade of star WR Brandin Cooks. We previously heard that Cooks was on the trading block, and the Texans are reportedly seeking a second-round pick in return.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that five teams have inquired about a trade with the Texans. Here are the teams:
Cowboys
Jets
Eagles
Packers
Saints
I would hate to be right but I mentioned yesterday that I believe the Packers will end up making a deal for him. They have a lot of draft capital and they also are in desperate need of WRs. Hopefully, another team sneaks up and steals him from Green Bay!
Cooks is only 28 years old and his salary is around $12 million annually. He has eclipsed the 1000 yard mark in 6 of his last 7 seasons. However, I also said that I don't think the Bears should make a deal for him since he would not be a great fit, scheme-wise. I am glad the Bears are not on the list that have shown interest in Cooks.
