After going 0-3 thus far in the season, former Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz believes that starting QB Justin Fields should be benched:
As heard in the clip, Martz believes that it is time to move on from Fields, and put him on the bench. He does not see Fields as being a starting QB, and does not think he can even play well at the position:
This Bears team is the worst in the league as of now, and if things continue to stay the same, then they will have the first pick in the 2024 draft. If they continue to struggle, then there is a very big possibility that the Bears will draft superstar USC QB Caleb Williams.
After 3 games this season, Fields has led the Bears to an 0-3 record, gone 51/88 on completions, 526 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns and 4 interceptions. This is the worst he has ever looked, and this is already his 3rd season.
Fields is not looking good, so I would not be surprised if the Bears front office is already thinking about drafting Williams.
